‘Pandorum’ Brings The Fear To San Diego Comic-Con And MTV.com | July 02, 2009

~~> I caught the trailer for “Pandorum,” produced by the folks behind the “Resident Evil” movie trilogy, a couple weeks ago and was immediately sold. For me, the imagery summons up fond memories of Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic “Alien” and Electronic Arts’ hit 2008 space horror video game “Dead Space.” The brief snippets in the trailer left me wanting for more and, needless to say, I’ll be there opening day when the movie opens on September 18.

Pandorum Pushed to Mid-September | June 24, 2009

~~> The Dennis Quaid-starring Pandorum, distributed through Overture Films, has been pushed from its September 4th release date. It'll now open on September 18th. This puts the sci-fi thriller up against the Megan Fox/Diablo Cody vehicle Jennifer's Body.

No Special Relationship For Peter Morgan | June 24, 2009

~~> Looks like Peter Morgan’s special relationship with Tony Blair movies has taken a slight detour, after the Oscar-nominated writer today bowed out of his directing duties on the upcoming HBO movie, The Special Relationship.

The movie, which will examine the relationship between Blair (Michael Sheen, playing the role for a third time) and Bill Clinton (Dennis Quaid), would have been the directing debut for Morgan who, of course, wrote The Deal and The Queen, the previous telefilms in which Sheen played Blair.

With filming scheduled to start soon, HBO and co-producers, the BBC, have moved quickly to replace him with a fellow Brit, Richard Loncraine.

Dennis Quaid Settles with Hosptial Over Twins' Accidental Overdose | June 20, 2009

~~> Dennis Quaid and his wife Kimberly have reached a settlement with the hospital where their twins were given an alleged accidental overdose of the blood-thinning drug heparin in 2007.

Documents say the Quaids will receive $500,000 in their settlement with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, reports the Associated Press. A petition filed in May with the L.A. Superior Court indicates that the settlement will be split equally between twins Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone.

Cedars-Sinai is also offering the twins medical care free of cost for any residual health problems related to the heparin-overdose incident. On November 18, 2007, the Quaid's then-newborns were given alleged accidental and potentially life-threatening overdoses of the blood thinner.
